Dining
Wanaka has fabulous restaurants and cafes. We are in the process of organising an optional conference dinner so stay tuned!
In the meantime, here are some links to some of our favourites, to whet your appetite.
What to do in Wanaka
Visit the 100% Pure New Zealand Website to learn more about local activities. There are plenty of hiking trails, mountain biking tracks, as well as kayaking and lake cruises.
Queenstown is the stepping off point for Wanaka with lots of adrenalin filled activities (such as the original bungy jump, and jetboating) as well as more sedate activities (like visiting the Kiwi Farm, or a trip on the TSS Earnslaw Steamship to a working sheep farm).
How to get to Wanaka
The closest major aiport is in Queenstown (ZQN) and is serviced by Qantas, Air New Zealand, Virgin and Jetstar.
You will want to book the window seat for the flight into possibly the most beautiful airport location in the world!
From Queenstown, you can book a shuttle to Wanaka, or hire a car. As a smaller town, most of Wanaka is walkable, but if you want to explore a little more, you might want to book a rental car.
If you prefer a shuttle, we will be coordinating this for groups to save costs.
We recommend and use Snap Car Rentals. Use the Code SNAP10 for a discount
